Welcome to ‘Black Dentists Matter’ if you’ve made it here then we can assume that you are a dentist, student doctor, assistant, office staff, or simply an allie. Whatever it is, we are happy to have you here. The ‘Black Dentists Matter’ brand was created to bring awareness to the lack of diversity of blacks professionals in dentistry. Our hope is that together we can inspire the next generation to pursue a career in dentistry.
Meet The Founder.
Manouchka Fleurinord, DDS, MPH
Dr. Manouchka “Manou Smiles” Fleurinord founded Black Dentists Matter in 2020 after her acceptance into dental school at Howard University College of Dentistry. The brand was started in an attempt to find representation for herself along her own dental journey, with not much success. Today, Black Dentists Matter helps to connect ALL Black Dental Professionals across the country and internationally. She hopes that the representation shown through Black Dentists Matter could help increase the number of black students enrolling and graduating dental schools all across the country in years to come.
